Welcome to Hernandez Consulting, LLC.
Hi! I’m Faride Hernandez, a licensed school counselor based in New Jersey and mom of two with 18 years of experience helping students navigate high school and plan for life after graduation. I believe in practical guidance, student-centered support, and reducing stress for both teens and families during this exciting, and sometimes overwhelming, journey.
My path began at Binghamton University and continued at Mercy University, where I discovered the power of purposeful guidance, a passion that has shaped my mission to help students navigate school and college with confidence. My experience started in college admissions, advising, financial aid, and I quickly transitioned to high school counseling after 10 years in higher education. I am also a former building-level supervisor with advanced certifications in school counseling leadership, supervision, and administration.
For families navigating complex academic, emotional, or school-based challenges, I provide advocacy-centered support grounded in public-school policy, student rights, and best practices.
All private services are offered independently and outside of my role as a public school counselor.

With nearly two decades of experience in school counseling, student support, and academic planning, I have helped hundreds of teens navigate high school, discover their strengths, and prepare for college and career pathways. I have worked with students in AP, IB, honors, career-related programs, and everything in between. Families appreciate my balanced approach, knowledgeable, and always student-centered.
